English to German translations [PRO] Science - Genetics / plasmid production | | English term or phrase: copy-up | Aus einem Patent zur gentechnischen Manipulation von Plasmiden:
"The replication origin for pVC0396 is derived from plasmid pMM1, a temperature-sensitive *copy-up* mutant derived from ColE1. pMM1 has a low copy number when maintained at 30°C, but it is amplified to high copy number when maintained at or above 37°C."

origin more efficiently than the equivalent amount of wild-type
(wt) p."

"...we used copy-up p mutants. These mutants contain single
amino acid substitutions and increase the copy number of core
plasmids two- to fourfold relative to the copy number at the
same level of wt p (60)."
