The XXX products are sub-bituminous organic materials which originated from the burial of ancient tropical forests by millions of tons of fresh-water sands and clays during the cretaceous period of geologic history.
They differ from **Leonarditic** or lignitic humates in that they have a high humic acid content which may range from 35% to 70% by volume (45% to 90%, discounting moisture and ash) and a sodium content of less than ½%.
