Beim Googlen habe ich die amüsante Übersetzung:
"ehe es unter einer post Mineraliendecke verschwindet"
gefunden, die ich aber nicht unbedingt so übernehmen will.

Weitere Nachforschungen haben gezeigt, dass es sich wahrscheinlich um eine Zeitangabe handelt, da ich z.B. iim Web auch "pre-mineral" in anderen geologischen Texten gefunden habe. Es geht vermutlich um die Entstehungszeit des Minerals-- sicher gibt's da aber einen deutschen geologischen Terminus?
