In der Geschäftsordnung des EP kann man nachlesen, dass Ausschusssitzungen generell öffentlich sind. Aufgrund meiner sehr guten Beziehungen zum EP kann ich nur sagen, dass eine Abstimmmung im Ausschuss unter Ausschlusss der Öffentlichkeit etwas sehr Außergewöhnliches wäre. Da scheint mir eine etwas missglückte Formulierung im Englischen tausendmal wahrscheinlicher.
Man soll ja niemals nie sagen, aber wenn es tatsächlich um den Ausschluss der Öffentlichkeit ginge, müsste das aus deinem Text hervorgehen, denn das wäre eine solche Sensation, dass es nicht damit getan wäre, es mit zwei Worten in einem Satz zu erwähnen.

Danke für deine Ausdauer, Tradesca, stimmt absolut, was den Ausschluss der Öffentlichkeit angeht. Ich habe nun in meiner Verunsicherung Informationen von einem ehemaligen Mitglied dieses Ausschusses eingeholt. ABCTexts Antwort ist ebenso richtig. Gemeint ist allerdings die Unterscheidung zwischen der Ausschusssitzung und der Abstimmung im Plenum.

Wobei der Ausschuss aber niemals im Plenum abstimmen kann. Es könnte niemals heißen: The Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee will vote in Plenary on 21 March 2006. Von daher war es doppelt-gemoppelt. Man möge mir meine Penetranz nachse
