English term or phrase: interservice group on urban development

Kontext: URBACT (Programm der Europäischen Kommission, mit dem der Erfahrungsaustausch zwischen Städten gefödert werden soll).

URBACT II builds on the experience acquired by URBACT I and expand the scope of the first Programme. It has to be a support system for the urban dimension in Structural Funds interventions, assisting relevant layers to develop and implement participatory and integrated strategies and programmes for lasting and sustainable development of cites and urban agglomerations.

To this end, the Programme will be designed:
- to disseminate widely the experiences and good practices collected by cities thanks, in particular, to European funding, and to ensure the transfer of know-how;
- to facilitate the exchange of experiences in the field of sustainable urban development among local and regional authorities;
- to assist policy-makers in the cities and managers of operational programmes under the Convergence and Competitiveness Objectives to define action plans, which may be selected for Structural Funds programmes on sustainable development in urban areas. Working themes and priorities will be defined with reference to the priorities set by the strategic orientations; input will be sought from the **Interservice Group on "Urban development"**, led by DG REGIO.

Einen direkten Bezug auf diese Gruppe habe ich nicht finden können, aber inter-service groups sind lt. Eurodicautom interdirektionale Gruppen, der Teil ist also schon mal sicher... ;-))
