Hallo,
ich bereite mich zur Zeit auf die Prüfung für das IOL Diploma in Translation vor und habe gerade das Paper 1 von 2003 übersetzt. Es sind aber noch einige Fragen offen (8, um genau zu sein)und es wäre schön, wenn einige von euch Zeit und Lust hätten, mir hier mit ihrer Meinung weiterzuhelfen.

Es handelt sich um eine Rede zum Thema "Sicherheit bei internationalen Fussballspielen", die im April 2002 im Europaparlament gehalten wurde.

Firstly I would like to inform the House that the PSE Group welcomes this report and the
measures in it intended to prevent the activities of hooligans and organised thugs at
matches. We will, however, need to monitor the way these ***monitoring centres*** carry out
their functions to ensure that the football community is fully engaged in the exchange of
information. Most important of all is the need to ensure adequate resources both in
financial and personnel terms.

Hier weiss ich wohl, was gemeint ist, aber wie würde man das schön übersetzen ? "Überwachungszentren" hört sich doch irgendwie komisch an, oder ?

Zwei Alternativen - aber ich glaube, Deine Rede als deutsche Übersetzung des Europaparlaments gefunden zu haben (als Ausgangsbasis für Deine Arbeit sicher sehr hilfreich ;-):

Dort wird tatsächlich von "Überwachungszentren" gesprochen. Wenn Dir das partout nicht gefällt, dann weiche doch auf "Überwachungsstellen/-einrichtungen" aus.

Das sollte natürlich \"drei Alternativen\" heißen - die \"Einrichtungen\" sind mir erst zuletzt eingefallen.
