English to German translations [PRO] Science - History / Templar myth - Ark of the Covenant | | English term or phrase: Phoenix Beacon in den Burton-Dassett Hills | | Hallo Leute, es geht um die spannende Legende und die vermutete Stelle der Bundeslade. Der lokal als Phoenix Beacon bezeichnete Bau kommt öfter im Text vor (TV-Doku). Unter google Bilder erhält man eine gute Vorstellung davon, wie das Türmchen aussieht. Wie würdet Ihr diesen Bau im Dt. bezeichnen, als Turm, Bake oder sonstwas? Oder gibt es vielleicht sogar eine "offizielle" Bezeichnung für den Bau? So 2-3x kann ich mich im Text schon durch die Bezeichnung "Bau" drumrum lavieren, aber irgendwann wird's unelegant. |

| | Phönix-Turm | Explanation: Would be my suggestion, perhaps followed by (vermutlich ein alter Feuerturm). These beacons do not seem to have been used on the continent - possibly they were less afraid of invasion than the Brits...
