Es geht um die Bestimmungen einer Unfallversicherung und um die Definition von "schwere Verbrennungen":

"Severely Burned means cosmetic disfigurement of the surface of a body area due to an injury that is a ***full-thickness*** or third-degree burn".

Eine "vollständige Verbrennung" oder Verbrennung dritten Grades? Die Rückübersetzung von "vollständige Verbrennung" führt zu "complete combustion", damit hat das hier wirklich nichts zu tun.

Habe die Kudoz-Einträge dazu gesehen, komme damit aber nicht recht weiter.

tiefe Verbrennung

Explanation:
Im englischsprachigen Bereich wird unterschieden zwischen oberflächlicher Verbrennung und tiefer Verbrennung. Als oberflächlich wird 1 und 2a ( superficial partial thickness burn) angegeben, als tief 2b ( deep partial thickness burn ) und tiefer ( full thickness burn).
