Eigentlich beinhaltet der Begriff Haftpflichtversicherung die Ersatzpflicht bzw. oder Einziehbarkeit von Schadenersatzansprüchen. Im Rechtsenglisch sind aber bekanntlich Tautologien üblich. Daher klingt diese Übersetzungsvariante plausibel.
