I am having some difficulties rendering this term in German. As far as I can tell, DENIC is the official registrat in Germany for all websites, i.e. even if you register your website with strato, Denic is ultimately the place it gets registered.
However, the text has to do with an internet fraud case in which internet addresses were registered with several registrars such as godaddy and domainsbyproxy, all with different endings such as .com. How would I render this in German? Server-Hoster??

The email addresses were related to web domain names (i.e. websites) that lead either to real corporate websites or, in other cases, websites registered to Go Daddy Software, Inc. (“Go Daddy”) a common web domain name registrar.
It is not uncommon for registrars like Go Daddy or domainsbyproxy to “squat” on desirable web domain names in the hopes of selling them at a later date.
