English term or phrase: membership turnover rate
For example, an email distribution list may have hundreds of members and the communication that takes place may be merely informational (e.g. questions and answers are posted), but members may remain relative strangers and the membership turnover rate is likely to be high. However, this is a very liberal use of the term ‘community’.
