Our Multi-Strategy / Event Driven bucket experienced a mixed month. While event driven equity strategies profited from the global equity rally, short positions and hedges turned out to be costly. Due to the lack of major direction in credit spreads, many credit positions experienced a choppy ride through March.

***Some gains were monetized on credit restructuring (Ford) and our managers continue bidding for distressed and bankruptcy opportunities***. According to Moody’s, 35 of the companies they follow defaulted in March which is the highest number in a single month since the Great Depression.
