Die Formulierung finde ich eigenartig. Wie würdet ihr das übersetzen? Ich hab es erstmal so gelöst:
Hedgefonds taten sich angesichts der Probleme in den USA und Europa schwer. ***Dennoch konnten sie das Kapital ihrer Anleger schützen*** und im bisherigen Jahresverlauf insgesamt eine Outperformance gegenüber Aktien erzielen.
