Es gibt verschiedene \"Channel\", die in Frage kommen:
Call Center, E-Mail, Web, Fax, Außendienst, Marketing...
Man spricht dann auch eher von Multichannel-Kunden, was beim heutigen Stand der Technik eher die Regel als die Ausnahme ist.
