First, go to the control panel and find the icon for Services.

Hm, komisch, wenn ich die Systemsteuerung öffne, dann finde ich da kein Symbol mit "Dienste" oder "Services". Heißt es offiziell wirklich "Dienste"?

Es gibt unter WinXP Professional im Systemsteuerungs-Applet "Verwaltung" einen Eintrag namens "Dienste", mit dem die unter Windows laufenden Dienste konfiguriert, gestartet und beendet werden können. Referenz: Ich hab's gerade mal eben auf meinem Rechner geprüft. ;)

Es gibt unter WinXP Professional im Systemsteuerungs-Applet "Verwaltung" einen Eintrag namens "Dienste", mit dem die unter Windows laufenden Dienste konfiguriert, gestartet und beendet werden können. Referenz: Ich hab's gerade mal eben auf meinem Rechner geprüft. ;)

so kenne ich das z.B. von Windows 2000

Denke, die haben den Zwischenschritt "Administrative Tools" vergessen
