English to German translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Journalism / magazine publishing | | English term or phrase: lofi | | Thanks to the advent of desktop publishing in 1984, consumers witnessed a growth in the variety of media available to the public, as well as a change in the “voice” of the media. Publications could now be created and led by anyone with access to a machine. Nationwide distribution may not have been any easier than it is now, but that’s not what these people, with their fanzines and lofi, local publications, were after anyway. |
