AOL is still a problem. Most of its revenues come from its internet-access business, which is in decline. In 2006 Mr Bewkes changed AOL's strategy to concentrate on increasing its online-advertising revenue, which is now growing quickly. Many shareholders would nevertheless like him to get rid of AOL entirely, but insiders say he is more likely to sell just the access business. A tougher decision will be whether to sell Time Inc. Unlike AOL's access side, or the cable division, Time Inc is a content business, and it sits at the heart of Time Warner's culture. But although there are synergies between print and other media, there are perhaps not enough to compensate for slowing growth as advertisers switch from print to the internet. Journalists at Time Inc take comfort in the fact that Mr Bewkes is ***“a content guy”***, but others think he may be more attached to television than print.
Hier wird content als Gegensatz zu Television gebraucht, also Text als Gegensatz zu Bild. Sonst müsste man es so verstehen, dass es im Fernsehen keinen Inhalte gibt.
Wie hast du den "content business" davor übersetzt? Das müsste dir auch die Übersetzung für "content guy" liefern (...typ, ...mann, ...verfechter, ...befürworter, ...anhänger, etc.). Gruß, Michael

"Ein Mensch" kann man natürlich auch weglassen und schreiben:"legt großen Wert (oder viel Wert) auf Inahlt". Das gefiele mir sogar besser, aber leider ist mir das erst jetzt eingefallen.

Explanation: oder "Content-Geschäft". Oder du könntest vorher "content business" definieren "ist ein Geschäft, bei dem es um redaktionelle Inhalte (Content) geht".
Content ist m.E. im Medienbereich schon ein Fachbegriff. Nur "Inhalte" finde ich im Deutschen etwas schwer verständlich. Ich bin auch ein Mensch, der auf Inhalte großen Wert legt, aber kein "content guy". Außerdem glaube ich, dass es hier um eine rein geschäftliche Entscheidung geht, daher würde ich "das Geschäft mit" hinzufügen.
Ich weiß nicht, ob hier wirklich nur die Texte gemeint sind (das wäre dann ein Synonym zu "print"), oder nicht auch die Internetseiten von Time Inc.
