Hab ich erstmal so übersetzt, ist mir aber zu lang:

Wo würdest du gerne leben?

Ich würde es offen lassen, wie sie das herausfinden will - ob durch Erfahrungen etc. M.E. wird das auch im Englischen nicht gesagt und ich denke, das ist nicht unbedingt eine Frage von gesammelten Erfahrungen oder tatsächlich durchgeführten Reisen.
