Web beacons, also known as clear gif technology, invisible GIFs, web bugs, or action tags, may be used to assist in delivering the cookies on the Website. This technology tells us how many visitors clicked on key elements (such as links or graphics) on a page.

I would love to figure out myself if there is a German term or not, but with the deadline only a few hours away I hope that you can help me.

Explanation:
ich habe zwar Web-Strahler und Web-Leuchtfeuer gesehen, das ist aber nicht besonders Neudeutsch. Man nennt diese Dinger auch Web-Bugs, und sie sind teuflisch, wie ich finde. "SPähpixel" könnte man sie nennen, aber man tut es nicht.

Wie es scheint, mittlerweile sehr gebräuchlich. Die Dinger heißen auch action tags, bzw. "Aktionstags". Vielleicht ist das ja deutscher.

Ein bisschen spärlich ist das schon, (transparentes) "1-Pixel-Gif" kommt vielleicht etwas häufiger vor...
