force majeure = superior or irresistable force


Explanation:
Events that are outside the control of the parties (to the contract) and could not be avoided by the exercise of due care.
This senteence is the standard legal definition for "force majeure." Rather than use the entire sentence we often just use "force majeur" in contract.
It is unclear which direction you are going in (G-E or E-g).
