Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / votes of company members
English term or phrase: committee

Kontext:
"If any member is of unsound mind or non compos mentis, he may vote by his committee, receiver, curator bonis or other legal curator, ..."

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Vormund

Explanation:

If you are made a ward of court, the court may appoint a Committee to deal with your personal affairs. The Committee means the person into whose care the ward is committed. The person who makes the application is usually (but not always) the person authorised to act as the Committee. If you live in a nursing home, the person who is in charge of that nursing home is excluded from being the Committee.

Die "New Oxford Dictionary of English" gibt als zweite Bedeutung von "committee":
"Law, Brit. a person entrusted with the charge of another person or another person's property"
