Explanation:
Hi, ich schreibe in diesem Fall immer "einen Vergleich oder eine Vereinbarung mit dem Gläubiger treffen".
Zahn (Banking and Stock Trading Dictionary) sagt bei "composition" eindeutig "Vergleich" und da nun mal eine Vereinbarung nicht gleich einem Vergleich sein muss (bei einem Vergleich zahlt man ja letztendlich weniger als man ursprünglich zahlen sollte. Bei einer Vereinbarung kann es sich auch nur um den Aufschub oder die Neuverteilung der Zahlungsverpflichtung handeln.

Explanation:
Dietl/Lorenz and others make no real distinction between composition and arrangement and I can't see it either.
The only difference might be a voluntary arrangement vs. an involuntary arrangement (Zwangsvergleich - in CH Nachlassstundung by the Nachlassgericht, even against the will of creditors)
