Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Testament | | English term or phrase: seizin and possession | Das ist wohl ein feststehender Ausdruck in Testamenten, für den ich aber keine gute Übersetzung finden kann.
Hier der Zusammenhang:
As Executor/Liquidator of my Will and Trustee of my estate, I appoint my daughter, XYZ, with **seizin and possession** of all my movable and immobable property. Should any of the foregoing not act or for any reason cease to act, I appoint my grand-daughter, ABC, with the same powers, **seizin and possession**.

Dietl gibt für "seizin" "Besitz, verbunden mit Eigentumsvermutung" an. Ist also von der Bedeutung her noch mal eine Nuance anders als "possession". Mit "Besitz" würde ich es aber nicht übersetzen, denn man überträgt dem Erben ja das Eigentum, nicht den Besitz, an einer Sache.
Im Satz dann vielleicht: "...erkläre ich meine Tochter zur Eigentümerin all meines beweglichen und unbeweglichen Vermögens |
