Hier geht es um Produkte, die X im Auftrag für den Kunden prüft.
Aber mit diesem Satz komm ich nicht weiter. Heißt das,
dass X den Kunden nicht von seiner Haftung gegenüber Dritten befreit? |

Ich würde es auch so verstehen:
Customer agrees that X does not **assume or undertake to discharge** any responsibility of the Customer to any other party.
Der Kunde erklärt sich damit einverstanden, dass X nicht die Haftung des Kunden gegenüber Dritten übernimmt oder ihn von dieser Haftung befreit.
Bin mir allerdings auch nicht sicher, ist auch mehr interpretiert, es scheint sich im Engl. nicht um eine Standardformulierung zu handeln, jedenfalls soweit ich recherchieren konnte. |
