Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) | | English term or phrase: waive all defenses of lack of personal jurisdiction and venue | | Could somebody help me with this legal speak, please? It is a quote from the Governing Law section of a Terms of Use document, and the sentence before says that all lawsuits have to happen under the jurisdiction of the State of California. The following sentence follows: *You waive all defenses of lack of personal jurisdiction and venue.* I just don't get what it means exactly. Thanks for your help! |
