Es geht um ein "endorsement agreement" (also etwas in Richtung Spnsoring-, bzw. Ausstattungsvertrag bzw. einfach nur Endorsement-Vertrag, bin mir noch nicht ganz schlüssig) zwischen einem Sportbekleidungshersteller und einem Fußballspieler.
Bei den Begriffsbestimmungen (und auch noch im Fließtext) taucht nun das "player's endorsement" auf, das der Sportartikelhersteller im Rahmen des Vertrags ausschließlich nutzen darf.
“Player’s Endorsement” shall mean the Player’s trade marks, name, nickname, mannerisms, personality, logo, strap-line, catchphrase, distinguishing characteristics, fame, initials, autograph, voice, facsimile signature, photograph, statements, biography, career statistics, caricature, image (including computer generated image), likeness or any other endorsement or image whatsoever associated with the Player."
Nun hänge ich bei der Übersetzung und tendiere schon fast dazu, einfach Endorsement zu schreiben. Aber das ist natürlich nicht schön. Kann man irgendetwas in Richtung "vertragsrelevante Eigenschaften/Rechte des Spielers" schreiben? wobei...

Ich finde nirgendwo eine ordentliche deutsche Übersetzung, daher auch nur eine englische Erklärung. An sich geht es in die Richtung eines (bezahlten) Sponsorings durch den Spieler, der für seine Werbung für das Produkt eine Gegenleistung erhält, aber Sponsoring führt meiner Meinung nach in eine falsche oder zumindest irreführende Richtung!
Ich habe mir jetzt noch den einen oder anderen Endorsement-Mustervertrag auf Englisch angesehen. In einem fand ich eine fast identische Definition wie die von mir zitierte. Allerdings war dort nicht von "endorsement" die Rede, sondern von "identification". Wäre das also eine Möglichkeit, wenn ich von "Identität" oder "Erkennungszeichen des Spielers" sprechen würde?
