Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s)
English term or phrase: permit to
Requirements of use (for a website of a company that buys valuables from you for cash):
You *permit to* XY that:
1) You are at least 18 years old
2) You have sufficient viable title to the valuables you send in
3) You have full authority to sell the valuables
4) .....

Find this "permit to" a bit strange in this context. I would normally say in this context "zusichern" but wanted to ask if you have ever come across this expression in a contract.

versichern
Explanation:
"Versichern" im Sinne von "zusichern". Aber ich stimme zu: "permit" ist in diesem Zusammenhang wirklich fehl am Platz.

etwas erlauben/zulassen

Explanation:
to permit s.o. to do sth. - in your context it could be kind of a typo...or a real mistake. I understand that the meaning of this sentence should be: "You confirm to XY that:"....Which would be translated as "bestätigen".

Sie bestätigen XY gegenüber, dass:
