Hallo allerseits!
Ich liege in den letzten Zügen eines Vertrags und hänge an einem Satz fest, dessen Bedeutung mir einfach nicht in den Kopf will. Die Klausel trägt die Überschrift "legal review" und enthält folgenden Satz (in **): "It is acknowledged that this Agreement was initially prepared by the Company. Both parties, however, have had an opportunity for legal review of all terms. *The parties therefore agree that in interpreting any issues which may arise to any rules of construction related to who prepared the Agreement shall be inapplicable*, each party having contributed or having had the opportunity to contribute to clarify any issue." Dieses "to any rules of construction" verwirrt mich. Ich wäre dankbar, wenn jemand Licht in mein Dunkel bringen könnte.

Explanation:
wiewohl ich mit dem Satz auch nicht viel anfangen kann, weil mE etwas fehlt. Aber vielleicht bin ich nur kurzsichtig. Ich verstehe ihn dahingehend, dass einseitige Auslegungsregeln nicht akzeptiert werden, weil die an der Abfassung des Vertrags beteiligten Vertragsparteien ausreichend Zeit zur rechtlichen Begutachtung und Prüfung des Vertrags hatten.
