English term or phrase: undertake a tender

Zu Grunde liegt um eine Unternehmensrichtlinie zur Korruptionsbekämpfung.
Das Unternehmen xx (ein herstellendes Unternehmen) verpflichtet seine Händler zur Einhaltung dieser Richtlinie.

Nun habe ich Probleme beim Paragrafen, der sich mit dem Thema "Ausschreibungen" befasst.

Dort ist u.a. von "undertaking a tender" die Rede. Eigentlich würde ich ja denken, dass damit die Durchführung einer Ausschreibung gemeint ist. Der sonstige Kontext dieses Paragrafen lässt mich jedoch eher darauf schließen, dass "undertake a tender" hier eher mit "Teilnahme an einer Ausschreibung" zu übersetzen ist:

"*Tenders are usually undertaken* by xx Dealers. Any xxx Dealer *undertaking a tender* process must therefore have committed in writing to the xx Dealer charter....

*Tenders processes* in these circumstances are managed and overseen by xx Sales xx.

In each * tender process* it is xx ’s policy to ensure that the xx Dealer *responding to the tender* discloses the charta and to request that the *tender provider* ensures compliance with this policy.

In circumstances where xx *** tenders directly *** then it is xx policy to ensure that the tender provider is aware of xx charta..."

Sich an einer Ausschreibung beteiligen ist jedoch aich richtig und wird offenbar häufiger verwendet und sollte daher als Antwort eingegeben werden.
