NNN INC warrants each NNN pressure rated metal valve to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period the lesser of one (1) year from the **date out in service** or two (2) years from the date of purchase.

date out in service = (Datum der) Inbetriebnahme?

im Satzzusammenhang:
...für einen Zeitraum von mindestens einem (1) Jahr nach Inbetriebnahme oder zwei (2) Jahren nach Kauf des Produkts, wobei der kürzere der beiden Zeiträume gilt.

Genau, du kannst \"Datum der\" m.E. problemlos weglassen (aber vielleicht sollten wir abwarten, was die deutsche Muttersprachler so dazu sagen). ;-)
