English term or phrase: key pending
What are key pending patents? Are these 'kurz vor der Genehmigung stehende Patente'? or something completely different? The whole sentence reads:
the company xxx has generated several key pending patents:

also noch nicht erteilte Patente, ob die erteilt werden oder nicht, ist dem Ausdruck pending nicht zu entnehmen, wurden halt eingereicht, d.h. sie sind anhängig. Key würde ich hier einfach als für die Fa. wichtige Patente sehen, da kann man aber einen anderen Ausdruck auch nehmen.

Explanation:
"die Firma xxx entwickelte entscheidende anliegende Patente", ist nur ein Versuch, denn abhängig in diesem Kontext wovon? voneinander?
