In einer Abtretung (Patent) soll eine der drei Möglichkeiten bezüglich der Anmeldung eines Patents angekreuzt werden:

"for which application for Letters Patent of the United States:
has been executed on even date herewith
executed on______
was filed on______ and assigned U.S. Serial No. ________"

Im Normalfall würde ich bei "executed" an ausgeführt und bei "filed" und "assigned" an angemeldet und eingetragen denken. Wo aber ist der Unterschied zwischen executed und filed oben?
