oder manchmal auch "Abstract" heißt es in wissenschafltichen Texten, müsste auch bei Patenten passen

Stimmt, "Summary" bedeutet auch Zusammenfassung, dann muss man das "Abstract" vermutlich mit einem der anderen Vorschläge übersetzen.
