Law/Patents - Law: Taxation & Customs | | English term or phrase: self assessment returns (SAR) | Under operations of Sections 52B, 54 and 55 of the Kenyan Income Tax Act (‘ITA’) (Cap 470) all taxable entities are required to file self assessment returns (SAR) and must provide certain documents together with the SAR. These documents include ‘accounts’ which are broadly defined to mean a balance sheet or statement of account, profit and loss account, receipts and payments accounts or other similar accounts however named.
