Aus dem zur Verfuegung stehenden Kontext geht hervor, dass es sich hier um ein Schreiben von der zustaendigen Polizeibehoerde/-station handelt, in dem u.a. eine Telefonnummer angegeben ist, an die man sich wenden kann, wenn man an dem *Stand des Verfahrens* interessiert ist.

mit dem schweren Verbrechen bin ich einverstanden. Aussergerichtlich kann ein Verfahren sehr wohl behandelt und mitunter in einem verkürzten Verfahren behandelt und abgeschlossen werden wenn es sich eben doch nur um ein Delikt handelt.
Bei felony handelt es sich nicht um ein Delikt, sondern um eine schwere Straftat. Dazu ist im obigen Satz von arrest records die Rede; ich glaube kaum, dass es sich bei den Vergehen einer inhaftierten Person um einen außergerichtlichen Vergleich handelt
in diesem Fall würde ich meinen es handle sich um aussergerichtliche Verfahren/Einigungen in Deliktsfällen

Neben all diesen Optionen steht der o.g. Satz - meine Annahmen gingen eher in Richtung "weitere Verfahrensweisen in diesem Fall" - erscheint dir das auch möglich?
Explanation: Ich kenne leider den offiziellen Ausdruck im Dt. nicht hierfür, aber gemeint ist m. E. eine Verfügung über die weitere Verfahrensweise des Falls, also z. B. ob der Angeklagte freigesprochen wird, ob er schuldig ist usw.
