Liebe Rechtsexperten,

ich übersetze grade ein technisches Handbuch, das leider auch einige Hinweise zum Haftungsausschluss enthält, und Recht ist nicht mein Spezialgebiet.

Der erste Teil des folgenden Satzes ist mir noch klar, aber ab "based upon principles of contract warranty..." wird es mir zu knifflig.

Bin für jede Hilfe dankbar!

"XXX shall not be liable for any claim by you or any other party for damages arising from the use, inability to use, quality, or performance of such Software and Documentation, based upon principles of contract warranty, negligence, strict liability for the negligence of indemnity or contribution, the failure of any remedy to achieve its essential purpose, or otherwise."

Silke, ich weiss nicht, ob sich Deine Frage auch auf die weiteren Ausdruecke bezog. Mir scheint, dass im Rest des Satzes etwas ausgelassen ist oder zumindest ein Komma fehlt.
