I'm not sure about the term "subscribed" in this context which is another sentence from the Articles of Association of a company (as in my last query):

WE the several persons whose Names, Addresses and Descriptions are subscribed are desirous of being formed into a Company in pursuance of these Articles of Association, and we respectively agree to take the number of shares in the Capital of the Company set opposite our respective names.

I know that in the context of shares "subscribe" means zeichnen, but could it mean simply "unterzeichnet" in this sentence? Thanks for any help!

Explanation:
normalerweise wäre "zeichnen" schon richtig: "subscribed capital" = gezeichnetes Kapital. Weil hier aber noch steht "whose names, addresses and descriptions...", gehe ich mal davon aus, dass hier 'subscribe' im lateinischen Sinne von subscribere, also "unten hinschreiben" verwendet wurde. D.h. die Angaben zu den Personen, aus denen die Gesellschaft bestehen soll, sind unten (am Ende)angeführt, wahrscheinlich unterhalb der dotted line. Wenn es so wäre, dann Bingo!
