I am confused as to the fact that experts can be identified in the field from which they may be recruited? Experts recruited from the field? I expected it to be experts from among which as related to the experts (= experts who may be recruited)
By providing the YYY designation(= a professional certificate), the organization enables financial institutions, trades, businesses, and government agencies to identify experts in the field (= they have that certificate) from which they may recruit personnel who meet certified standards.
Durch die Vergabe des YYY-Zertifikats macht es die Organisation den finanziellen Institutionen, dem Handel, der Wirtschaft und Regierungsbehörden möglich, Fachberater auf einem Gebiet zu identifizieren, von dem sie Mitarbeiter rekrutieren können, welche die Zertifizierungsstandards erfüllen.
Sounds strange at best.

"from which" bezieht sich wohl tatsächlich auf "field", also genauer: Fachleute eines Tätigkeitsgebiets zu ermitteln, aus dem sie....
Thank you, d_williams. I think your interpretation is quite valid. I also think the original English text is quite cumbersome "...field (maybe better fields) from which they may recruit..."; I almost think the writer meant the German "Feld" in the sense of a group of people. In any way, it's not clear to me; one could interpret it as "experts in the field (of AML -that's what this text talks about , anti-money laundering and the certification that this company is offering to give these experts an important credential). I told the client that it is hard to really understand what is meant and conveyed two different interpretations, one that sees it as "experts in the filed (of AML) among whom institutions such as banks can choose the ones with the credential, and (my first interpretation) - experts in fields (various fields) from which (= from the fields) they (these institutions) can choose personnel/people who have the certification.
viell. auf "dem" Gebiet zu identifizieren, von dem sie Mitarbeiter rekrutieren können ) klingt viell. etwas sinvoller.
