Der gleiche Begriff kommt auch auf dieser Seite vor: http://www.animalmedicines.co.uk/pages.php?pageid=11. Vom Verständis her meine ich, dass 'silt' im Vergleich zu einem richtigen Stein eine feinere, sandigere Textur hat.

Weiß zufällig jemand von euch den Fachbegriff?

Explanation:
Von der Größe her befindet sich m.E. Grieß zwischen Kies und Sand, also auch kein Schlamm. Auch wenn bei Wikipedia 'sludge' steht, was auch als mud bezeichnet werden kann, so kommt bei sludge dennoch nicht der 'körnige' Bestandteil des Grießes rüber.
