English term or phrase: pet centre vs. pet shop
A supermarket sales assistant / pet centre sales assistant / pet shop sales assistant / garden centre sales assistant

B. http://www.goldcoastpetcentre.com.au

Pet Supply Store - Pet Shop

Explanation:
From my understanding - when we use the term in English, the 'Pet Centre' refers to a shopping center that that stocks all small animal and pet supplies (ie. Fressnapf),
Whereas, a 'pet shop' is a shop where small animals (& reptiles and amphibians) or pets are actually sold.

pet centre vs. pet shop

Explanation:
A pet shop is a Zoohandlung, Tierhandlung where you can buy supplies and sometimes even small animals.
A pet centre is often equipped with a vet office, a grooming salon as well as a shop for food, medication and some supplies. A pet centre ususally caters for dogs and cats but no reptiles, birds, fish and so on...
