Vor dem eigentlichen Melken werden von Hand einige Milchstrahlen in einen Vormelkbecher gemolken. Dadurch wird zum einen die äußerst keimhaltige Milch aus dem Zitzenkanal entfernt, die nicht in die Nahrungskette gelangen darf, und zum anderen wird das Euter für das nachfolgende Melken stimuliert.

Vor dem eigentlichen Melken werden von Hand einige Milchstrahlen in einen Vormelkbecher gemolken. Dadurch wird zum einen die äußerst keimhaltige Milch aus dem Zitzenkanal entfernt, die nicht in die Nahrungskette gelangen darf, und zum anderen wird das Euter für das nachfolgende Melken stimuliert.
