Oder hat der Verfasser des Texts hier "doppelt gemoppelt"? Wenn ja, dann könnte ich es wohl mit "Geschäftsbereiche" übersetzen. Was meint ihr?
The new Contract Policy reflects the following principles:

- **Business Unit operations** should participate in and take ownership of implementation, monitoring and compliance.

In der Bank, in der ich gearbeitet habe, gabe es sehr wohl einen Unterschied zwischen "Business Unit" (das war der Geschäftsbvereich) und "Business Unit operations", (das war das Backoffice für diesen
Klaus Urban: 6:35am Jul 21, 2007: Geschäftsbereich). Wegen der Matrixorganisation war der Bereich Operations nicht einmal ein Teil des Geschäftsbereichs sondern eine eigene support function.
BrigitteHilgner: 6:46am Jul 21, 2007: Wie Klaus habe ich den Eindruck, dass eine Unterscheidung getroffen werden soll. Eine "Geschäftseinheit" ist ja meistens vergleichsweiße groß - im vorliegenden Fall ist die vermutlich noch in "operations" (Betriebseinheiten?) unterteilt. Mehr Kontext
BrigitteHilgner: 6:47am Jul 21, 2007: würde vielleicht helfen, obwohl ich zugeben, dass mir diese "Unternehmenseinheiten" auch oft Kopfschmerzen machen - die "division" der Firma A entspricht durchaus nicht der "division" von Firma B in Bedeutung und Struktur.

läßt sich sicherer nur mit Kenntnis der Branche beantworten;
Auf jeden Fall halte ich es für wahrscheinlich, dass zwischen "Business Unit" und "Business Unit operations" ein Unterschied besteht.

Explanation:
Würde - wie Klaus - auf jeden Fall Unterschied sehen, ob operations dabei ist oder nicht. Und für den Satz ja wichtig, dass die verschiedenen Abläufe des jeweiligen Geschäftsbereichs an der Implementierung ... beteiligt sind.
