Aus einem Money Laundering Training für Bankmitarbeiter:
"In the eyes of the US government, you can be accused of money laundering, if you have helped conceal the origin of proceeds of criminal activity (e. g. by accepting accounts in false names or that are merely ***fronts for other individuals***."
Gemeint sind wohl Strohmänner. Nur, ich habe schon so oft nach dem englischen Begriff für "Strohmann" gesucht, aber bin auf diese Formulierung noch nie gestoßen.
Wer kann bestätigen, dass ich richtig liege oder mich korrigieren?

Bei Leo heißt es unter front man = Strohmann, das würde doch deine Theorie untermauern, abgesehen davon, dass ich auch überzeugt davon bin, dass du damit richtig liegst ;-)

Explanation:
Genau genommen bezieht sich fronts ja auf die accounts, oder? Die würde ich als "Fassade" bezeichnen. Für Strohmann habe ich übrigens neben "front man", auch "straw man" gefunden (Wikipedia)
