Explanation:
Gewissheit (Rolf Kerns Vorschlag) klingt besser, gemeint zu sein scheint hier aber möglicherweise eher (das Sich-Vergewissern bezüglich /) die Bestätigung von - (eventuell) vorgegebene(r/)n - Sachverhalte(n).
Es kommt also m.E. auf den weiteren Kontext und die zusammenhängende Formulierung an.
