neutral  Michael Pauls: Auch mit mehr Kontext wäre es allenfalls "Erstarren" ... und eine Referenz ohne Kontext hängt auch in der Luft, oder?//Von "falsch" war keine Rede, nur vom Unterschied zwischen dem Vorgang und dem Ergebnis eines Vorgangs (-ung), um das es hier nicht geht.

Leider kann nicht genau übersetzt werden, da der Zusammenhang fehlt. Bei Asche wäre es beispielsweise "Verfestigung".
