Any idea what this could be? There is a cutting technique that uses compressed air. But if this is meant, why would that be a type of waste?

agree  Rolf Kern: Diesen Begriff gibt's tatsächlich. Muss der Verfahrwerg eines Werkzeugs "durch die Luft" sein, bis es am Werkstück eingreift. siehe www.nordmann.info/ger/pdf/nordmann-praesentation.pdf.
