Habe folgenden Satz einer technischen Universität in Deutschland gefunden:
"Berufsfelder der Diplom-Ingenieure für Maschinenbau sind überall dort zu finden, wo die Bewertung ingenieurtechnischen Handelns im Komplex mit naturwissenschaftlichen Grundlagen und gesellschaftlichen Auswirkungen im Vordergrund steht. Solche Aufgaben bestehen in den Bereichen Forschung und Entwicklung, Planung, Projektierung und Konstruktion sowie Management, Produktionslenkung und -überwachung, d. h. in allen Bereichen der Ingenieurtätigkeit."

Der Begriff "Produktionslenkung" ist mir auch als Stabstelle von meiner früheren Tätigkeit in der Industrie bekannt.

Übrigens ins das "s" in "controls" m.E. etwas eigenartig.
