"He reponded that there were 2 aspects. The first was the move away from brands to private labels. The second was indeed innovation - exploiting the possibilities of peelable ends, for example and the new (name of the) product."

"peelable ends", wörtlich "abziehbare Enden" - wenn damit die Dosenverschlüsse gemeint sind, könnte man es mit "Aufreißlaschen" übersetzen.

(Oder experimentieren die da mit Getränkedosen, bei denen man ein Ende ganz abmachen kann und dann so eine Art Glas hat?)
