English term or phrase:coming out of the turnaround
Es geht um Health & Safety-Richtlinien eines weltweit tätigen Industrieunternehmens, konkret um Regelungen für die Wiederinbetriebnahme(Return to Operations) nach Betriebsunterbrechung.
"An example might be procedures for daily plant equipment work (pumps, valves, etc.) vs. when a plant is ***coming out of the turn-around***."
Keine der üblichen Übersetzungen für "turnaround" scheint mir hier zu passen. Evtl. "Generalüberholung"?
Mit scheint, mit "turnaround" sei "Return to Operation" gemeint. Aber die Sache ist wirr. diese Situation wird im Gegensatz zu "daily plant equiment work" gesetzt, was mit "Return to Operation" nicht viel zu tun hat. Zudem steht das "facility", "unit" und "plant", wobei whrscheinlich immer dasselbe gemeint ist.
Der gesamte Absatz lautet wie folgt:
"A Return to Operations (RTO) policy is required by each facility, including procedures to adequately complete leak checks before process material is re-introduced. The Policy must specify required documentation such as RTO checklists, which must be completed. When there are different RTO procedures, due to the need for a different level of detail, or different required sign-offs; each one of these different procedures needs to be explained in the policy for the unit, and when to use each needs to be spelled out. An example might be procedures for daily plant equipment work (pumps, valves, etc.) vs. when a plant is coming out of the turn-around."
Da steht: "coming out of **the** turnaround, und nicht **a** turnaround. Das lässt vermuten, dass das, was hier "turnaround" genannt wird, schon einmal erwähnt wurde. Ist das einfach schlechtes Englisch oder mehr?
