Ich sitze an der Montageanleitung für ein "pedestal", das im Text selbst auch als "mobile file cart" (mobiler Aktenwagen) bezeichnet wird. Dem Bild nach zu urteilen handelt es sich schlichtweg um einen Rollcontainer. Kann es sein, dass "pedestal" auch in der Bedeutung Rollcontainer verwendet wird oder mangelt es mir nur wieder am entsprechenden Fachausdruck??

Explanation:
There are a number of googles where the word pedestal is used for the whole unit.
The refence below indicates it originally described the base of an office desk, which contained the file drawers. Then they must have started making drawer sections separately from the desk, but still used the same word for them...

Explanation:
I can't imagine pedestal refers to the whole cart, but perhaps it refers to the frame on which the rest is built. (im Sinne von Fußgestell vielleicht) This is really a wild guess.
